I found two favourites among my trio of press samples. I noticed slight fall out when used over a primer and recommend doing your base last. Touching on application, these go on evenly without any patchiness. The product was soft and lightly pressed with good pigmentation. I found the Foiled shadows swatched considerably better with the brand new press samples I received. Onto some more swatches taken in better lighting 😉 Sweet Illusion – A pale silver with a pink baseįaerie Fayre – A deep warm brown with red tones. *Please note, Sweet Illusion & Fairy Land will not be released in Singapore. Moving along, here’re the swatches from the preview. I’d assume shadows that are meant to be used wet or dry wouldn’t have this problem, but who knows. Apparently the swatching set was used earlier, wet! and that was probably why. There was barely any colour payoff and the shadow seemed to have hardened up. Initial swatches of these (taken at the press preview) weren’t all that wowing if I were to be really honest. Overall I really like the final look though, like crumpled paper!

Just the regular MAC packaging with a novelty embossing. Metallic shadows that can be used wet or dry. Now that the official embargo is over I can finally share my swatches and thoughts on this new collection! And luckily, early enough before the global launch so all my readers (from both the east AND west) benefit from this post 😉Īs you’d have noticed, the hype was mostly surrounding these brand new Foiled Shadows which came out with the collection. Some at fashion week with artists using the new collections backstage and also some by MAC staff who clearly couldn’t keep a secret.

It expels too much product and if I want a pump for it, I have to shed another P400.įollow Forgivain on Follow Blog via EmailĮnter your email address to follow this blog and receive notifications of new posts by email.Move over holiday releases, it’s time for MAC Spring! And today on le blog, the much anticipated Faerie Whispers collection!Īs with all MAC releases, we already saw bits of leaked photos ages ago. The only thing I don’t like about this is the lack of pump. I suggest buying this in our Philippine NARS counters as it is cheaper there. I purchased this product in NARS Hong Kong for HKD 460.00 (P2,641). I will repurchase NARS Sheer Glow over and over again. I apply the mixture using a wet BeautyBlender sponge. Since I don’t really need too much coverage and to save up on the amount of product I use, I make a 50-50 mixture of Sheer Glow Stromboli and NARS Tinted Moisturizer in St. Before, I couldn’t survive without Clean and Clear Oil Blotting Film, but now I rarely use it! I have oily skin, but I don’t worry much about it anymore, considering the sweltering tropical weather we have here in the Philippines.

I only have to blot twice using my MAC Blot Powder in Medium Dark all throughout the day.

It’s not heavy, it doesn’t cake, and most of all, despite having medium coverage, it gives my skin a glowy, natural finish. I have tried so many liquid foundations, BB Creams, tinted moisturizer, but nothing compares to NARS Sheer Glow Stromboli. It doesn’t appear yellow on my skin at all and it blends really well, making my face appear like I’m not wearing foundation at all. But I find this a great shade because the tinge brightens my skin tone.

Many beauty bloggers detest the yellow-ish tinge of Stromboli. This one, Stromboli, is the perfect shade for NC35/Medium Dark. The one I reviewed before was shade Santa Fe, which was two shades lighter than my skin tone.

My favorite liquid foundation everrr! I have reviewed NARS Sheer Glow previously and I have said everything in there so I won’t ramble as much here.
